Introduction

Hello, I am Ville Seppänen, a game developer and artist with a passion for crafting immersive worlds, engaging gameplay and polished visuals. I thrive at very center of creative projects that merge technical precision with vision. With a background in game art, design and some programming, I bring my unique perspective to game development. I have experience in creating 2D and 3D assets, UI design and game mechanics.

How it all started

My passion for game development started at an early age, when I built my first game on a Commodore 64. It was a text-based, RNG-driven fighting game I created from scratch using BASIC, taking my first little steps in both programming and game design. While that project may be long gone, the experience taught me valuable lessons about the importance of backups and persistence, lessons I carry with me today as I continue to build games that stand the test of time.

What is going on now

I enjoy solving creative and technical challenges, whether it's designing intuitive UI, optimizing game performance or developing engaging game mechanics. My work is driven by curiosity, problem-solving, and a desire to craft experiences that players can truly connect with.

Currently, I'm focused on expanding my portfolio with projects that highlight my ability to blend art of all kinds, design and code. My goal is to contribute to a studio where I can apply my skills in both game development and design to create meaningful, well-rounded experiences.
